Care, Storage, and Use Instructions
Your ArmorIQ ballistic plate is engineered for long-lasting durability and maximum protection. To ensure optimal performance throughout its service life, follow these care and maintenance guidelines:
General Use
- Intended Use: This plate is designed for ballistic protection as specified by its certification level. It must be used only within a properly fitted carrier compatible with hard armor plates.
- Do Not Alter: Never drill, cut, paint, or apply aftermarket coatings or adhesives to the plate. Doing so voids the warranty.
Cleaning
- Annual Maintenance: Once per year, wipe the plate down using a soft cloth lightly dampened with water. Avoid using solvents, soaps, or chemicals.
- Drying: After cleaning, thoroughly dry the plate using a clean, dry towel before storing it.
Storage
- Storage Conditions: Store the plate in a cool, dry place, ideally between 50°F and 80°F (10°C to 27°C).
- Avoid Compression: Do not store under heavy items or apply pressure that could deform the plate.
- Heat: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures (e.g., inside a vehicle).
- Carrier Removal: Plates should be removed from carriers if stored for extended periods.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
ArmorIQ offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all ballistic plates made with our proprietary compound-treated ballistic steel and polyurethane coating. This warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents, or impact outside of certified threat levels.
- Modification or alteration of the plate.
- Failure resulting from improper storage, such as exposure to high humidity, extreme temperatures, prolonged sunlight, or compression.
- Deterioration due to neglecting required care, including the annual cleaning and drying of the plate.
To maintain warranty eligibility, users must follow the care and maintenance instructions, including wiping down the plate with a lightly damp cloth and drying it thoroughly at least once per calendar year before storage.
